For your reference, there is a collection of ready-to-cut artwork on DVD, called "SWAPMEET" that contains a lot of very cool designs that would be perfect for mugs. I personally have used a few of them on hats, but I can see you enjoying using them for your friends and relatives. They'll laugh their asses off! Piece of advice -- CHARGE for the mugs. Do not give away, even to your best friends or cousins. Even a hobby is work, and although you are not trying to really profit like a business, there's still overhead.
