I can’t find any answers in the forum or heat press manual (that works) to change from celsius to fahrenheit. I tried following directions word for word from manual, but the celsius temperature indicator remains lit no matter what. To make matters worse, I attempted to hold the ‘set’ button which generated unknown (to me) setting parameters that I changed using the arrow buttons. I can find no information about these ‘advanced’ settings that I changed inadvertently. So my questions are:

1. Is there a way to ‘factory reset’ the heat press?

2. Is there a source of information about the advanced settings that aren’t mentioned in manual?

3. Is there a correct way to switch from celsius to fahrenheit that works? (The manual instructions do not work as written.)

Again, I have the digital Transfora 15x15 heat press. Thank you.

I just looked at the manual online and don't see where to change f to c anywhere - I would call support as they seldom actually visit the forum and I haven't seen anyone else mention that particular HP

Thanks. The manual states:

’Using the control panel screen, press the “Set” button then the up or down arrow to the desired temperature.
2. Press the Set button again and set the timer using the up and down arrows.
3. Press the Set button and arrows again to choose Fahrenheit or Celsius’

Does not work :) I wanted to calibrate it, which has you set temp to 380F and then hold down arrow for 5 secs when it gets to 100F. I’ll update if I ever figure it out.

edit* I have a suspicion that directions in manual are off because something gets lost in translation from another language.

Till you figure it out, you could just work in C.

380F = 193.3C

100F = 37.8C

Really, when you're talking about numbers like these, units really don't matter, most HTVs list both units, and if they don't it's simply enough to do the conversion.

First thing I bought when my hat press arrived was a HarborFreight hand-held digital thermal measuring unit.

Point the thing at a hot surface and it reads out the temp.

Bought an infrared thermometer to confirm the press was on farhenheit. Then ran the temperature calibration and all seems well. Note the celsius light indicator is still on, but the reading is in fact in farhenheit. So it seems it is more of an ‘on’ light than the label it lights up :) I never did get a response from uscutter and I have no clue as to how I would switch it to celsius if I wanted to.
