Graphtec CE6000-60 Vacuum not holding down vinyl

Recommended Posts

I’m unsure if it’s actually an issue with the fan now after playing with it for a couple of days, as even when I’m holding the vinyl down (and avoiding the blade holder hitting my hand), it still cuts with these weird unfinished corners on circles

as shown in the photo below;

I’ve tried:

different cut speeds (I’ve gone as low as 4)

I recently purchased a new blade (cleancut 60 degree blade), still have the same issue

multiple different offsets (it’s now back at 0)

resetting my cutting master settings back to default

Using the overcut feature, which is used on this new photo but still has no effect on the issue

any ideas for anything else I could try?

We have seen similar things on very small items before - your plotter is a drag knife and not a true Tangential  plotter so the blade tip that is offset is dropped and drug into the line to be cut  (all drag knife cutters operate this way but on larger items it is not noticeable  - you plotter does have Tangential Emulation

Here is a video about that
