teddyu 2 Posted November 21, 2019 Does anyone know where I can purchase a Z chip for my MH 721? I have looked for cutters on Craigslist and eBay for parts but can’t find any and all the places online are sold out!

MZ SKEETER 4,708 Posted November 21, 2019 How old is your cutter? A forum member has some for the older MH cutters. (I am guessing still has) http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php?/topic/54679-z-chip/

MZ SKEETER 4,708 Posted November 22, 2019 Now before you fire that cutter up. Scrape a little paint off the cutter, and attach a ground wire from the cutter to the stand. The static from the vinyl, has to go some where, and it will go thru the blade and on. UScutter also offers an anti static kit https://www.uscutter.com/Anti-Static-Kit-for-Vinyl-Cutters
teddyu 2 Posted November 22, 2019 Thanks MZ SKEETER I have already done that believe me! And one thing I don't understand is they say not to put magnets near the cutter but that's part of the static kit? anyway thanks again for all the help!

I don't know where you read about not putting magnets, our Graphtecs have magnets, so that the carriage head doesn't cut past the pinch rollers. We have to disable the pinch roller sensor to cut outside or use EXPAND. Your welcome.
