Now is cutting message

Just started having this problem. I have an SC 631 cutter. After the cutter is done with the design the "now is cutting" message remains on the display. I have to do a reset everytime to get back to the main menu. This problem just started this week. I have tried unplugging the machine but so far nothing has cleared this problem up. Any advice?

I don't recall that one coming up before - must be the plotter thinks the computer is still communicating with it - what software are you using?

Maybe try and go into Windows Device manager and change the COM port (USB) and see if that jolts things back to normal.

will have to leave that to one of our scalp experts - personally didn't like it so ditched it long ago - but there are people on here that use it regularly so maybe they can help

Problem Solved. I have no idea how it happened but somehow the model of my cutter got changed in my software.Set it to the right one and all is good
