Corrugated blanks

Recommended Posts

Probably a super dumb question but im drawing a blank here. Trying to place order with some corrugated sign blanks 36x24. I want the flutes being 36" long so if I cut in half for 18x24 signs the flutes will be going up and down on 24" wide side. here is what the listing says

Flutes run the direction of the second dimension - for example, the flutes run the 24" direction on a 36" x 24".

They used to have the image showing the direction of the flutes so never had to think about it and customer service closed

you can order from most places with flutes either way but 18x24 are generally cheaper per sq ft. by quite a bit as it is so commonly used size -

Think of it this way ---  coroplast sheets are 4'x8' standard size, and that doesn't allow for a sheet to be used efficiently by sectioning 2'x3' portions. (you'll get only 4, with a substantial wasted area of 2 feet)
However, it yields 10 yard sign blanks, with only a slight 6" excess of 'drop' (material waste)
