silviera 0 Posted December 26, 2006 I have, without any luck. Although it was not with a USCutter (Roland), it did not "get'r'dun". I had to re-cut the sandmask with a razor blade where the plotter had "scored" the mask. gluck.
RyanJ 0 Posted April 14, 2007 I haven't but I've had great success using simple sign vinyl for my sandblaster. I've done glass, mirrors, and steel. All with regular vinyl. You can't cut deep, but for simple surface etching I've made out great. It's alot cheaper too! I also have a lower pressure (40psi) blaster which might be different than yours. If you have a monster sandblaster or are cutting deep into stone or something that requires a lot of blasting disregard me. If on the other hand you're doing light jobs that only need a few low pressure passes, save yourself time, money and headache and use vinyl. I recommend a removable exhibition vinyl. I use Oracal 631.
Sourcerer 0 Posted July 6, 2007 We have been cutting sandblast masks on nomal vynil for 10 years now with no problem whatsoever. We sandblast ceramic cups, glassware and just about any engravable surface. On glass beer mugs we engrave to at least 1.5 mm in depth at 60 psi and the vynil holds up well. We had a Roland PNC-960 unitl it went up in flames on Monday, are considering buying the MH721 precisely for mask cutting.
