Recommenced mug press for dye sub

Recommended Posts

can anyone recommend a mug press that will be used for dye sublimation. Mug press needs to be able to press latte mugs as well as the standard size mugs.

Ive been looking at the Johnson Plastics JP-450

Thank you

cactus wraps are the only way I found to get top to bottom and handle to handle images without fading from heat loss in those areas - I have had about 6 mug presses including 3 knights - same story on all of them

The texprint-r paper is made specially for the Ricoh/sawgrass gell inks so that is what I use.  Tried something else once and ink didn’t dry properly when doing multiple pages.   Mugs I buy from Marck in Toledo Ohio.  Best mugs period.     Easy is nice but mugs without fade at handle or base is more important to me and do them in our oven

Here is one I did with a mug press and got the fade at the bottom - the mass acts as a heat sink and wicks the heat away

2nd one is with cactus wrap

last one with wrap for one of the OCC employees with a wrap
