Guest Scott Schwenz Posted August 2, 2017 Hey all, I'm trying to vectorize an imported image on vinlymaster, which has worked for me everytime i've done it before, except for this time. It trace it, then just come up with a black box. I'll try to put an image of that on here. The imported image is a JPEG I created on adobe photoshop, and i've always been able to vectorize them, but that isn't the case this time.
MZ SKEETER 4,708 Posted August 2, 2017 And even if you do, it will not come out right...Just recreate it. Too easy. You should not vector Fonts. Find the font and recreate. It's only a football with a number. Just make a football and duplicate them,
Primal Decals 621 Posted August 2, 2017 Try Ai making it and importing..
darcshadow 1,625 Posted August 2, 2017 Or if you don't have AI, Inkscape is a free vector program. It's best to create designs in vector format to start with, you'll always produce a better result than if you trace something.
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted August 2, 2017 personally I would try lowering the slider for level of detail to maintain . . . but as stated above it is a simple design and would be much better to recreate it as a vector to begin with for a crisp clean image
