write port error on flexi 7.5 using mh 721-mk2

Changing the baud rate and using other methods I've read on the forum have had no effect  I haven't found a solution so if anyone else has encountered this I am in need of assistance. I'm running windows xp and flexi 7.5

Well we have no idea what "other" methods you have used,,Could be a lot of reasons., But write port errors will occur when you are plugging the cutter in, while the computer is on.  The com port number will jump to the next number.   Now go into your computer device manager and make sure the com port numbers match in your computer and Flexi,  And from now on, only plug the cutter in when the computer is turned off.   Then turn the computer and cutter on. 

Also go to the production manager and delete any errors there, before sending to cut again.
