major headache with mh1351 plotter

i have tried all sorts to install this plotter and nothing   giving me major  brain pains lol  

anyone willing to talk me through it  please  i have tried  usb    even brought a rs232  port and lead  and still nothing

We require much more information.

Software?  Using a Null Modem serial cable? Operating system?  etc.

flexi sign 10  

windows 7  

usb cable 

 

tried com port and cable on my other pc 

 

if i go into devices its coming up  unknown device  and if i click  update drivers it says best drivers installed

Besides the plotter drivers did you install the drivers for the USB chipset?

Download and install SignBlazer -- use RedSail model in cut setup. If you can get that cutter to respond, then we can narrow down the problem to the software, not hardware.

I know the driver that slice linked to is for the one built into the mh that usc sells but not sure it is the same for the UK version and really not sure it will work with the generic one that you bought . .  . and if not using the null modem serial cable don't think it will matter

Whoa!!!!  Let's back up a bit.

Your cutter is hooked up with USB, you installed the 20828 CDM chipset driver, you have SignBlazer running with RedSail model, and it worked.

What did you do between that point, and "now nothing" ?

Is there a notification in SignBlazer saying "cannot open device -- cutter not initialized" ?

By the way, are you sure you have a Null-modem serial cable, and have you tried using it?
