steinsdesigns 0 Posted March 2, 2017 I recently replaced the carriage unit and the carrier cable on my MH Refine 1351. When it goes to cut, it drags the blade to the first cut and when it is done, it drags it back to "home base." I have tried adjusting the downforce and the blade height and it doesn't seem to help much. The new carrier unit is different than my old one, as my old one had a 2 position carrier arm whereas this one only has one. The drivers seem to work ok as it cuts everything I have on screen. Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted March 2, 2017 I would have started with a new z axis chip and then went mainboard before I replaced the carriage - you are saying though that it does lift while doing the cuts? just drags at the start and stop?
slice&dice 2,450 Posted March 3, 2017 When my MH unit blew out a Z-chip (static sizzled it) I was delightedly surprised at how simple the replacement was ---- it fits into a 'carrier' (plugs right in) and costs just $5. I was up and running in 10 minutes after that tiny Zchip arrived, it saved the machine.
