Ravenwind / One Off Grafx 187 Posted January 14, 2017 I have a sign job that the guy wants to last 50 years. It is a plaque for a building dedication 24" x 24" out of the sun most of the time. They are on a limited budget. anyone out there have either a laser cutter or cnc? I will have the file ready to go? he really wants to have it wooden. This pic is close to what they want. I was going to sublimate it but not sure if it would last even 10 years out in the weather.
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted January 14, 2017 wooden and 50 years seldom is used in the same sentence. along with anything to last 50 years and limited budget. hope you find an acceptable solution
Jburns 239 Posted January 14, 2017 It would be best to choose laser etched, rotary engraved or cast. Sounds like customer wants more of a monument item, proper fasteners etc. https://www.geminisignproducts.com/en/plaques/plaques/etched--engraved/
