Sortee 11 Posted October 25, 2016 well looking to get a new machine what would you recommend a Laser Point or the Titan i think the Titan might be better but to all of you who have used them what is your thoughts? Thanks
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted October 25, 2016 i would go titan for the more stable and reliable usb chipset, but then again i would go titan2 for the servo motors
Primal Decals 621 Posted October 25, 2016 Definitely a Titan 2 . its what i started with (28'') in 2015 and still have it and i just love it and it has not failed me ever.no issues at all with this machine.Cuts like a dream. The only thing i would suggest is the software, look around Thats my only personal problem and opinion . I started with Scalps (Sure cuts A lot) and upgraded to scalps4 pro, but after VM came out i got that and used it and didnt like it at all.To me, it was difficult to find what you want to do and navigate as well,Scalps was a cake walk to learn and find what you want to do,,,But thats my opinion of course. Im sticking with scalps and also Ai cs6/cc.

Wildgoose 4,200 Posted October 26, 2016 Servo motors make a big difference. The old adage is buy the most cutter you can afford. You really do get what you pay for with them. There are substantial jumps in performance and reliability with each price step.
Primal Decals 621 Posted October 26, 2016 like Wildgoose stated. get what you can afford but there is a difference in the titan and the titan
Primal Decals 621 Posted October 26, 2016 here is a link to the difference of the 2 ..
Wildgoose 4,200 Posted October 26, 2016 I would recommend a 24" cutter anyway so you're up at $695 with the regular titan to get comparable width to the Titan2
