houseofkustoms 0 Posted August 2, 2016 Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone has had this issue before. When they adjust any settings, and then click reset the cutter usually goes back to a home screen and says "ready to use" or something I am not 100% can remember, but it does return to like a "ready" status as such. My cutter isn't doing that, it's stuck on whichever setting screen you press, but when you press reset, it doesn't go back anywhere, it just resets, the carriage arm moves etc, and then it goes back to the force & speed screen for example. I believe this is the issue for my cutter not communicating with my program (Make the Cut) I used to get the same error on my old machine, if I had forgotten to press reset after adjusting settings, but then just simply click reset and it was "ready" Anyone have this problem? If anyone can help at all I'll be so grateful!! Cheers Chloe
KYSIGN 233 Posted August 2, 2016 It's been awhile since I used a mh but I wonder if one of the buttons the carriage hits it broken or stuck? I have no idea really. Hopefully someone else can help.
signyouup 178 Posted August 2, 2016 If you are doing this from the control panel on the cutter then it has nothing to do with your software. The only interaction between the software and the MH is when you are cutting.
darcshadow 1,626 Posted August 2, 2016 By adjust settings, are you talking about force, speed, and position, or something else? I don't think I've ever touched the reset button but the speed and force is the standard "ready to cut" screen. The reset button resets the baud rate, clears the memory, move the carriage to the right most position. If you are in the setup screens, To exit from them, you hit the setup button again. If Make the Cut isn't working that's something else. Have you tried a different cut software, there are several that offer free trials, and Signblazer is free, there are links on the forums to the location to download a copy.
