christyz78 2 Posted June 11, 2016 Ok, I've been working on this image for a few days now and I'm about to lose my mind! Can someone please help me??? I want to take this image, cut it, then etch it on a stainless steel tumbler. I wouldn't work this hard on something, but it's for a police officer and I like to stay on their good side :-) His wife has sent me several images, but nothing that I've been able to figure out yet. I've attached all that's she sent me, I'll take help with whatever anyone will offer. Thank you so much!! HELP!!!

MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted June 11, 2016 You would get more help if you stated what vector software you are using,, and show your results. What do yours look like? Can't help if we can't see what your doing.
christyz78 2 Posted June 11, 2016 I'm using inkscape. I've used it before, a long time ago, and can't find the directions someone gave me. I original tried the trace option in sure cuts a lot, but after messing with nodes for a few hours and not getting anywhere, I decided there has to be an easier way! skarekrow 1,842 Posted June 11, 2016 You're not gonna get a very good trace from either of those images. Without a higher resolution Image to work from there will be enormous amounts of cleanup work to do to get a clean/detailed vector file. Professional Redrawing it is the easiest route from here. Try forum member skarekrow. Very reasonable and great work

Dawn's Design 403 Posted June 12, 2016 He works fairly cheap too. Sharekrow is the man when it comes to vectorizing.
