ChristaC 0 Posted May 26, 2016 Hi there! I'm Christa, and I'm working with USCutter here in Redmond to revise the documentation for the LP2. I'd like to reach out to the community and ask: What do you wish had been in the manual but isn't? What do you think should be added to the manual? What's your #1 tip for using the LP2? Any other feedback on the manual? Thanks SO much!! -Christa
busterbay 326 Posted May 27, 2016 Buler..... Buler...... Sorry couldn't resist... In all honesty I used to write how to documents / manuals for programs I wrote and or used - The best way is to try and run the machine by the manual if you can't add what you need and add PLENTY of pictures. Most people are stimulated via sight and only a small % will read the details unless there is a photo. Just my two cents
slice&dice 2,450 Posted May 27, 2016 Hello Christa -- since you asked -- "What's your #1 tip for using the LP2?" I would say that the user should be adding a series of markings along the top of the machine to indicate where the pinch rollers should be placed. (those precise spots are indeed marked along the front rail, but when loading/positioning vinyl rolls from over the top of the machine, it helps to have those visual cues for the pinch rollers right there while looking down onto the back side). There's a thread about this - (with illustration of how my machine was marked with small rectangles of white vinyl on the top of the unit) http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php?/topic/51269-line-them-up-pinch-rollers/?hl=%2Bpinch+%2Brollers
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted May 27, 2016 Eliminate any reference to using a credit card to set the blade depth and use skeeters tried and true method.

MZ SKEETER 4,708 Posted May 27, 2016 To start with, you should set your blade depth correctly, by taking the blade holder out of the machine, and firmly cut across a piece of scrap vinyl, you will be cutting. You should only be cutting the vinyl and barely a mark on wax paper backing, Adjust blade to get there, Then put the blade holder back in machine, and use the force of the machine to get there, same results, only cutting the vinyl and barely a mark in wax paper backing.
