Just wanted to throw these out there, nothing fancy but I'm learning.

Alan is my brother, we are both in the business.

Nice work man. I can't believe it stuck to that slab of rock.

Is that rock or an old piece of wood?

I once did some letters for a wedding reception sign that was on a nasty old wood pallet (farm theme). Yeah it sucked to get it off the transfer tape. I used GS vinyl and it only lasted for the evening but it worked. Took about 2 hours to get it installed which should have been 10 minutes. It was for a good friend so what do you do...

Thank you all for the kind words. I am finding that it's becoming easier to do the shadow lettering and installing things. I'll post up a couple of pics of some stuff I did yesterday. Now if I could just get some paying jobs! LOL

That is a piece of used roofing slate, I scrubbed it, then scrubbed it again and the decal still wouldn't stick, I took it out into the garage and gave it three coats of clear spray lacquer and that did the trick. I am thinking about going over it with some more of the same.

I've done similar to rocks and wood.  I usually reverse weed the vinyl and use it as a template for spray painting.  Same as you would do for etching glass, except with paint.  Or if you are feeling adventurous, try out some gold or silver leaf Rub n' Buff.  It looks really cool.
