MadHatterGraphix 1,258 Posted May 6, 2016 I was approached by someone I make t-shirts for about cutting craft foam with my cutter for some of their projects. As a nice guy as I am I said I do not know for sure. So instead of me going and trying this out and probably screwing up my cutter I came here to ask if It's possible and if someone ever did this on their Graphtec? MadHatterGraphix 1,258 Posted May 6, 2016 What kind of thickness? 5mm to 6mm and 1/6" that hat I got from the customer. I guess it ranges.
Jburns 239 Posted May 6, 2016 5mm to 6mm and 1/6" that hat I got from the customer. I guess it ranges. I would say that a Flatbed cutter with vacuum hold down would be best for that. ex Graphtec FC4500 seres.
MadHatterGraphix 1,258 Posted May 6, 2016 I would say that a Flatbed cutter with vacuum hold down would be best for that. ex Graphtec FC4500 seres. What about using a sticky cutting mat like for a silhouette or Cricut?
Jburns 239 Posted May 6, 2016 I think you are right - a cutting mat would be needed if you are cutting thru and should work on the graphtec.-- perhaps if you keep the foam inside the rollers? and the pinch wheels on the cutting mat that could work out cool. but for the depth- the Blade Holder : CB15N- that uses the 1.5mm diameter blade might work better. Jburns 239 Posted May 6, 2016 I would ask for a sample and see how it goes

pshawny 410 Posted May 7, 2016 I have an Accucut GrandeMark 2 die cutter that should be able to handle that, but custom dies are needed for each project. So far I've only used it to cut 30mil magnet.
