top53 53 Posted April 29, 2016 Made 12 magnetic signs using Magnum Magnetic 10 have blown off. I rounded corners and vehicles were cleaned before installation.. They are 12 X 28 so I had to buy a roll and cut them to size.
mb20music 760 Posted April 29, 2016 Did you use the 25 mil or 30 mil? the 30 mil has more pull than the 25 mil magnetic material. The 25 mil is not recommended by the manufacturer for vehicles.
top53 53 Posted April 29, 2016 I used the 25 mil because it came in 25 ft rolls the only way they sell the 30 mil is in 50 ft rolls, go figure and it had to be cut to 12 X
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted April 30, 2016 never had a problem with the 30 mil here
tomk 19 Posted April 30, 2016 never had a problem with the 30 mil here Hey! Just curious, do you print directly on your mag material and then cut it, or print on vinyl and then mount on mag and trim it by hand? Thanks.
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted April 30, 2016 I always print on vinyl and apply - no way I am taking a chance on a head strike with that stuff

top53 53 Posted April 30, 2016 Primal, that is what I usually use also, these had to be 28" so I had to cut them. Lesson learned.
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted April 30, 2016 with all the aluminum and composites in vehicles now you also have to check each one- magnet doesn't hold well to a compsite panel , aluminum or some allows they use to reduce weight
