AmericanWarriorDecals 25 Posted April 21, 2016 I just got my Titan 2 today and have it all set up. Ive done a few small cuts and now I'm trying to cut 3 decals on a 24x28 space. It's been sitting here on this screen for about 5 minutes now and hasn't done anything yet. It's set up via USB right now. Is there something I'm doing wrong right now? AmericanWarriorDecals 25 Posted April 21, 2016 I figured it out. It wasn't out of setting up the home location. Still learning.

PixelPusher 46 Posted April 25, 2016 One thing you can do to speed up processing large designs is to reduce your vector node count as much as possible (the 'curve' drawing points) on the drawing. The more nodes a design has, the more complex it is and more processing time is needed to chug through things and figure out how it's to be cut by the software algorithms. Autotrace functionality often creates a large number of unnecessary nodes. Reducing node count can help speed up complex designs dramatically (both redrawing on screen and in cutting with a cutter). Drawing a design manually by hand is superior for this reason. Relying on autotrace isn't ideal (though it can be helpful to start with) and clean-up of a drawing is often required. Im curious if there is a way in scalps 4 pro or Ai CC etc that you can change this using an easier way of reducing the numbers nodes?
4namelyu 0 Posted May 18, 2016 I just upgraded to 3.081 and it takes much longer for the design to start cutting. I loaded a simple design and it took 5 minutes to start cutting. Prior to the update it would have started in under a minute. How do i uninstall the update. Thank you.
Primal Decals 621 Posted May 18, 2016 How big of a design are you cutting that's making your cutter start slow? hmmm thats a good one to answer. i would have to say one was like 15"x 31" of an area .I dont have an image right now but it said Fringe and the i was replaced with some scissors and then an elegant swirl under that for a hair salon sign. Plus with wedding lines as well added. I always reboot the cutter for every job to try and prevent it from happening, but it does it a lot . It seems when i add weeding cuts is when it lags down the most, but then again it does it sometimes when it wants... I did a 21"tall x 8' cut once and it whizzed right thru it quick with no startup lag. .so i have no clue. I just wish it didnt do it at all.Thats one draw back i guess for not getting a higher grade cutter,But the titan2 28" does it job perfect on cuts except this one issue. I do love the machine tho. and the software has been updated to the latest 4.044. And i know its not my laptop, its a custom built $2500.00 with tons of everything i could throw at it .
