bradqr1954 6 Posted April 8, 2016 Hello everyone. I bought a fc 7000 a while ago and I am having an issue with it cutting. So far I have changed the blade and figured out I had to much blade exposed. I just can't get it to cut exactly right and feel like I am small adjustment away. I have attached an image. Both numbers are slightly of all the way across the vinyl. I am thinking it is an adjustment, All thoughts are appreciated. Thanks for your help. Brad PS my setting are force 16, speed 15, quality 4 and offset +

MZ SKEETER 4,708 Posted April 8, 2016 I have this machine..+MK2-75..Offset is 0 zero on a Graphtec. I have quality at 3, My force is 12, Starting out run the cutter slow until you learn it. I have never been over 5, but that is just me, I shoot the breeze on here while I am cutting...Fine detail run slow. This is how to set you blade depth correctly. below. I prefer to make all of my machine changes on the Graphtec Cutting Controller on my computer on Condition 9.. To start with, you should set your blade depth correctly, by taking the blade holder out of the machine, and firmly cut across a piece of scrap vinyl, you will be cutting. You should only be cutting the vinyl and barely a mark on wax paper backing, Adjust blade to get there, Then put the blade holder back in machine, and use the force of the machine to get there, same results, only cutting the vinyl and barely a mark in wax paper backing.
bradqr1954 6 Posted April 8, 2016 This is what I get. I cut them three across and all were the same.

mb20music 760 Posted April 8, 2016 Hmm. doesn't look like a settings issue to me, maybe a bad blade holder or something mechanical.
bradqr1954 6 Posted April 9, 2016 Thanks for all the advice. It was a mechanical issue.
