Pierce8468 0 Posted March 18, 2016 I am not new to plotters, but new to the SC cutter. I recently purchased one as a back up to replace my old MH cutter as my back up. I wasn't expecting this thing to be a top of the line machine, but I did expect it to be better than my MH, but it certainly is not. If I try to cut above 100ms the blade holder will stutter as it cuts. even cutting as slow as 200ms it stutters.
MZ SKEETER 4,708 Posted March 18, 2016 well let's look over some things. Are the white wheels of the carriage head firmly down in the track?. and the carriage head can be moved back and forth nice and smooth? Do you have the blade set correctly, This is how. Below: Is the blade holder firmly down in the carriage head.? If you can provide a video, that would be great. Make sure the part that holds the blade holder isn't cracked or broken. To start with, you should set your blade depth correctly, by taking the blade holder out of the machine, and firmly cut across a piece of scrap vinyl, you will be cutting. You should only be cutting the vinyl and barely a mark on wax paper backing, Adjust blade to get there, Then put the blade holder back in machine, and use the force of the machine to get there, same results, only cutting the vinyl and barely a mark in wax paper backing.

busterbay 326 Posted March 19, 2016 Make sure all the wheels to the carriage are in place, when mine arrived one had jumped out of the track caused me all sorts of trouble until I discovered it.
