dcbevins 340 Posted March 17, 2016 Probably won't work on XP as it needs NET framework 4.6.
Sue2 920 Posted March 17, 2016 For What It's Worth, $199 for the complete upgrade is a deal! I have both CorelDraw and Illustrator (many versions over the years) on several computers. Even now, CorelDraw X4 works fine on both XP and WIN 7. Yes, it's getting touchy about the newer pdf and png files... but there are easy work-arounds for that. If I need something quick I will go to Corel first and foremost. Illustrator has its positives but I find it more cumbersome to deal with... probably since I started out years ago with Corel. Every program has its positives & negatives...quirks and drawbacks. I especially like that Corel saves your graphics IN the file and therefore you are not nagged by MISSING or MOVED LINKS. You can copy & paste graphics/photos directly onto your page.... save and you're done. Sue2
PixelPusher 46 Posted March 18, 2016 I think the upgrade for people is a good deal too from earlier versions. One thing I DO NOT think is a good deal is the trial period has been almost halved to 14 days from 30 days. With all the negative reviews I'm starting to read on this release, I don't think I'm going to upgrade from X7 for quite a while, if ever. BUT, if I had a version from 1-X4 then yes, I'd move up to X8 right away. I like the fact that it appears the upgrade deal is not time limited (seems permanent, you don't have to buy it by a certain date).
BearlyRich 167 Posted March 18, 2016 Probably won't work on XP as it needs NET framework 4.6. Ahh, dot net 4.5-4.6. Microsoft's definitive way of executing XP..... That's a shame. Win7 isn't all that bad and I would "upgrade" my machines if I had to, but can't...
