Vinylmaster Vector Image

I have clients that send me PDF files of there layout. Like banners for example. Is there a way for vinylmaster to recognize the text when i trace the image? The reason I ask is because half the time the client doesn't know the exact font and the quality of their layout isn't the best, so I end up searching and searching for the exact font, or I have to go in and touch up the letters because they are jagged.

Vinylmaster is a fairly new program for me. What is quickest and easiest way to get the text ready to be cut or printed?

Thank you for your time.

Under text, font plugins, font detective. Not sure if it is included with every version of vm or not but worth taking a look.

Font Detective is certainly the answer but it is only available in VinylMaster Xpt. That said, if you are receiving PDF files the text should be razor sharp vectors. If not then they are just using PDF as a wrapper for images. Ask them to save as Adobe Illustrator V8 as text remains as text in this format.

Not unless fonts have been converted to outline.

I have vinylmaster xpt 4.0, so how would the font detection work?
