Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted November 30, 2015 have an order for 6 vertical banners of someones sons for Christmas presents - get to the last 3" of the first one and a &^%^%%$% cat hair shows up on the print head (carried by the static on the media) - so throw that one away and do a cleaning and start again. cats need to stay out of site for a minute. they are kept out of the printer room by a kiddie gate but an occasional stray hair finds its way in and ruins your day. and I KNOW which one that hair belonged to! Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted November 30, 2015 dog can get an occasional hair in there too but nothing like when the old printer was in the back room waiting to sell - was cleaning that one every 3 days because of hair. that is why none of them are allowed in the printer room. used to have a chair specially for one in there and he got booted out too, just not worth it. busterbay 326 Posted November 30, 2015 Yeah we have short backed haired dog...... many times I have had to redo something because a portion of their body wanted to stowaway .. All pet owners feel your pain.

bamafan2277 50 Posted December 1, 2015 Time for a positive air pressure system and clean room for the printer room. I wonder how the IRS would like that tax deduction.
Jburns 239 Posted December 1, 2015 Here is what happened to a print of mine last night- small hair ( I would like to blame my cat- but culprit is most likely my arm) about 2mm long on the thermal print head. I had to break out the high power flashlight, and almost the magnifying glass to see it! Scary- I thought I was having a head malfunction And the Foil:
