Is it possible for a file to be corrupt causing it to not cut correctly?

When i send file to cutter, starts out fine then id say bout 15% through it loses its mind.

Disconnected usb, unplugged cutter, restarted program, still with same results 3 times.

Tried new file, seemed to cut like new.....

Using SCAL3 and MH cutter btw

Not all files are created properly for cutting.

A 'stray node' can cause a cutting file to go nuts.

Also how big is the file could be memory also. Post up the file and one of us can look at it. But it could also just be the mh cutter. Mines was doing craze stuff till i got tired of it and sold it. those cutters have a mind of its own.

This sounds like a static issue to me. We're seeing a lot of those right now with the change of the seasons.
Two suggestions to fix it.

Not necessarily. He said it's just one file doing it.

Hey there, John at USCUTTER.

Your 1st link above is busted, (your link had a stray period in there at the end)

"Oops...
Sorry, the page you requested was not found."

the correct link for the anti-static wire assembly is HERE ---

http://www.uscutter.com/Anit-Static-Kit-for-Vinyl-Cutters

I stick by my assessment (and Mark-s) that something specific is messed up within that one file.

No it is most likely static or a memory issue - could have loads of nodes in the file LOL

depends on if it has more nodes than the one that cuts right every time . . . . but with the mh all the above could be it

Missed the "one file" piece. Sorry about that.

We're getting a lot of static issues out there this year and was just reading too fast.
