Keystone Kustom Decals 11 Posted October 18, 2015 ok, got my MH871 34" last week. Looking to make some windshield length decals 48x6, using SCALP I cannot seem to get to cut long way with vinyl, only wants to cut the width of cutter. How can i fix this?! and yes i have went between portrait and landscape......
slice&dice 2,450 Posted October 18, 2015 "Rotate Across Vinyl" should be a simple and easily accessible command in the cutter dialogue. It has no connection to portrait or landscape orientation of the design itself. I am not using SCAL myself, but you can look into its HELP menu to find out where that option for "rotate across vinyl" is featured.
knucklehead 530 Posted October 18, 2015 Might have a person icon, standing straight up, then sideways, etc?
Cal 393 Posted October 19, 2015 When I need to do this I simply rotate the object 90*. May need to change the mat size to a custom size. Your object must be in the cutting mat onscreen to cut properly. Oh, and welcome aboard! Cal
Primal Decals 621 Posted October 19, 2015 Look for the black arrow on the side or top that will tell which way its going to come out of your machine, make landscape or potrait then adjust width or length of your design page so it will cut the proper way. Also when you click on the cut feature, next you will see a preview of how its going to cut and from your cutter before you even start cutting ,once you see that you know what to change if needed.. Keystone Kustom Decals 11 Posted October 19, 2015 I had to select all and use the on screen rotate, as the toolbar rotate did not work along with changing mat size. Little tinkering and ill get it down pact hopefully. Thank for all of your suggestions folks. Much appreciated!!
