Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted September 5, 2015 our friend Tom at USC installed a spam filter that checks new members against a list of known spammers - this has cut down the banning by mods I would guess 90 percent or more. this has been a great relief and maybe this will be fun again. now some may ask why we still get some spam - if a spammer creates a new account and has not appeared on that list (populated by forums all over the world) they will not be banned until they make those annoying post - so still some work to do here and there but minor compared to where we were just 2 weeks ago.A HUGE thank you from me personally to Tom Lockhart at USC as I personally was about to throw in the towel 13 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
