You pop them out and refill them and then stick them back in and they self re-set at that point.

I went Cobra CISS, but use Print Pay Less inks.

Just curious, why are you using the PP ink

and not the Cobra?

I still have trouble with my CISS plugging up in my Epson

1100 and was hoping changing to refillable cartridges would

solve that.  Is it the ink or the tubing causing the plugging?

The ink is dirt cheap from printpayless. Hatter got me to switch over a year ago but i will say I prefer the dye sub ink from cobra and will be switching that back.

Depends on what you want to print - dye ink is only really recommended for printing color photos to hang on the wall.  Because dye inks are translucent you can get better color mixing and reproduction.

Pigment inks are recommended for t-shirt transfers and other prints when you need more durability.  Dye inks run when the get wet - pigment inks won't.  I have two Epson WorkForce printers running pigment ink (one cartridges and one CISS) and another Epson that I converted from dye inks (it was used when I bought it) to Sublimation inks, and it's on a CISS, too.

Price is one reason and the second is they use Epson color profiles I havent had to change a think no matter what substrate I sublimate to. I like Cobras CISS and I pretty much buy the parts from him and build my own. I have my Pigment Epson 7510 CISS system which I bought the parts from Cobra and built. and I used a tank from my original CISS for dye sublimation and I ordred new cartridges for the 7110 due to I had a 7010 and they are different. However now my dad wants a ciss system and I need longer hose for my 7110. As for the clogging it could be or the ink is bad.
