All-in-One Design & Cut Software Suggestions

Recommended Posts

I am thinking it's time to retire the trusty SignBlazer Software

and move on to more current software that offers stand-alone

design & cut ability.  SignBlaser is a great program but

unfortunately no one has taken up the challenge of updating it...

so as each year passes it is becoming obsolete.

I don't want to "rent" a "Cloud" version of ANY program.

I want the disk and want to be able to upgrade my computer

without worrying about program transfer problems.

So, what would be your advice?

I already have & use for every day graphics:

SignBlazer

CorelDraw 7

Adobe Creative Suite 6 which includes Illustrator

Good and BAD points of the software are welcome.

Of course, price will be a consideration also...

but not the uppermost priority.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Many of those same concerns are what led me to VinylMaster Pro. Sue.

Why are you still using that version?   The no nag, no counter version has been posted here for years. .and is still FREE

I think I tried to download it and it never worked or I was having issues. I know I tried and went back to the old one. All I use it for is cutting so its not to big a deal but I think its time to upgrade too.

Does anyone have any information on vinylmasters crossgrade pricing? I may be misunderstanding it but If I tell them I used signblazer and inkscape and want to go to vinylmaster they give me a discount?

Sorry to hijack the post....

Can you do contour cuts with vinylmaster pro?

Yes...pretty much 'one click'.

Crossgrade is a discount for basically saying you use something else now. No follow up or even proof you have what you say you have. And like Skarekrow said contour cutting is the easiest of any program I have seen. It was the real selling point for me because of all the 3G transfers I do.

BTW I just remembered I went with the top version XPT not pro and I use a lot of the extras on a daily basis doing print designs.

But, how much is the discount from the listed price?

I offered a little lower and saved a few more bucks, even though I felt bad the program is so good.

How does the Vinylmaster Pro/XPT compare to the SAi Flexi software? Do they do the same thing?  If not, what is different about them?
