MadHatterGraphix 1,258 Posted July 27, 2015 For those of us who have the metal hand weeding tools, they have the diamond shape grip area which usually starts to hurt the fingers after awhile of weeding. I came up with a way to still use that grip area but not have it so hard on the fingers. Your Basic all Metal weeding picks/tools. And a piece of heat shrink tubing. I cut the shrink tubing into 5 equal size pieces. I then slide the shrink tubing over the handles, going all the way to the tip of the handle before the pick started. After that I used a lighter and shrunk the tubing till it was snug at top firs then around the handle. You can still feel the grip area of the handle but it doesn't start to hurt after long weeding sessions. Just thought some of you might like to know this idea if you didn't and I like to share what I come up with once in awhile.
