jaybyrd 3,770 Posted June 30, 2015 I tried lifting it to the point of chipping a corner and nada but but bigger concern is the fact the ribbon cable isn't stripped back on that end. Somebody screwed with my machine whole it was down and I've got a feeling I'm going to either need A new cable or a way to expose the wire like it is on the other end. jaybyrd 3,770 Posted June 30, 2015 After using as much force as I dared it just broke the edge off. It looks just like the connector everybody is describing but no matter how close I look I can't see a parting line and obviously brute force isn't cutting it. jaybyrd 3,770 Posted June 30, 2015 Update: definitely a cable issue every other cable on the machine looks like the ends that was still connected contacts exposed on 1 side and blue colored reinforcement on the other side. After observing this I tried the end that was still connected and it plugged right up where the other end should have been without any issues. My question is does anybody know where to track down a replacement cable?
KYSIGN 233 Posted June 30, 2015 What does the other end plug into?
jaybyrd 3,770 Posted June 30, 2015 The good end goes to the MB. The problem end goes to a small board by the control panel. i'm convinced after seeing how the mb end plugged right up some jackass cut the end off my cable. These are pics of the good end. The other end is just the cable no contacts, no nothing.

Guess it's worth a $15 gamble but I have a question for anybody who either has or or willing to take their side cover off I need to know which side is stripped for contact. The plain side or the side with the writing ?
