Sue2 920 Posted June 28, 2015 So, I was ecstatic when my customer actually had an eps file for their logo.....so very few do. They sent it over to me for t-shirts and below is what I saw.... sure was glad I didn't have to vector it! Thought I would just check it out and simplify it for HTV. The second picture is what I saw in wireframe.......... OMG....not exactly what I had expected! Oh, and of course, they wanted it ASAP! Thanks to Skarekrow for pinch hitting and making things right! He did a great job and fast! Sue2
knucklehead 530 Posted June 28, 2015 That looks like it came out of a Dover design book, Art Neavueau? maybe? ALL EPS files, are not created equal. I've got a couple of those books/discs, pretty much, most of the files are like that. Not all, but most.
jaybyrd 3,770 Posted June 28, 2015 So so glad it wasn't me.
mark-s 1,126 Posted June 28, 2015 A lot of designers do it that way cuz it`s faster and easier. When I get them like that, I vector it. mark-s
KYSIGN 233 Posted June 28, 2015 That looks like a fun weed either way. I hope it goes well.

Go-C Graphics 856 Posted June 29, 2015 How many shirts are you doing? Not my idea of a fun shirt order unless you're going to screen print it.
skarekrow 1,842 Posted June 29, 2015 The final version was simplified a bit (from the one shown) and optimized for easier weeding. ( and thanks for the kind words, ya'll )
Sue2 920 Posted June 29, 2015 They only wanted 3-4 ... new business just opening. Maybe more later...maybe not. Even simplified it is a challenge to weed and not miss any little pieces! Sue2
DNA_Vinyl 262 Posted July 13, 2015 Seems like a pretty cool picture....SkareKrow rules.
djque 246 Posted July 17, 2015 I hope you have a servo cutter. I would of went silkscreen for that. Or they would be looking at $40 a shirt. or I would of talked them into a sublimation shirt.
Leland Webb 56 Posted January 25, 2016 I could not use this eps in particular, but I could make short work of it with illustrator.
slice&dice 2,450 Posted January 25, 2016 I was curious how well VinylMaster could convert this to a cuttable file --- so I gave it a shot to see the VM vector engine in action. grace.eps
Sue2 920 Posted January 25, 2016 Not bad...I like that little VinylMaster program....it works similar to Corel. The next problem I had with this graphic is they wanted it on a black shirt...... so I had to go through and make a "dark background" version of the design.
