Dyepress Poly on Acrylic glass.

Recommended Posts

I haven't posted anything lately however I have experimented on acrylic/plexiglass with the dye press poly treatment. this is 1/2" thick and the size is 8X8". I know there is some dye migration and that's my fault I used the wrong press I used the claim shell when I should have used the  swing away.

Looks good.....Have you ever used their products that you spray on cotton and blended shirts?

I have it but never tried it. I'm going to soon, and its more like for making the poly/cotton blend brighter and not wash out earlier than a standard poly shirt.

what difference would the type of press make in the dye migration? Heating differences?

Pressure,The clam shell design has trouble pressing thicker items evenly because of the way it is designed.....It will touch down on the product in the rear first and also apply more pressure there on thicker items.....

I like it!

Now you need to mount it to an LED stand.

I dont think it will light up like an etched piece, thinking maybe back lit.

Well, it was a thought.

The problem with thoughts is, not all of them are good. LOL!

Sometimes those stupid ones slip out and a person doesn't catch them before they go public. LOL!

Agreed, however I get lots of the don't work ideas.

Yes, but geniuses are those who give those ideas a try.

Because it only takes one good idea to make you a genius.

Failures only impart knowledge and often lead to successes.

Wow, that was kind of deep.
