Stroke Thickness

Recommended Posts

When i put a box around my design and change the stoke thickness from 1.00 to 5.00 the line gets thicker as it should. The issues is when i close and save the file and reopen it the stroke thickness of the box goes back to 1.00 so i have to redo the boxes around my designs. Im using SCALP 4 PRO with latest update.

If you are trying to build this for cut rather than for print then you need to get away from strokes or convert them to lines at some point. Stroke is just a color town on there much like the color you choose to fill your objects with. I'm not a SCALP user and can't tell you the best way to accomplish this only the basic theory of vector files. Typically to get an outline you would offset the object to create another line out the distance you are wanting. This will create a completely different object sitting behind the original that you can cut in another color to create the effect of an outline. There are other options too where you punch out the middle so you actually do have an outline and this method is sometimes preferable on apparel work with HTV.
