Creation pcut

Recommended Posts

Hi again! I've been using my pcut for a few months now, I have several orders in and the thing crapped out on me! I was cutting yesterday and I left the room for a minute and when I came back in it had stopped. When I looked at it, it had only cut half of the image. I had 2 images I was nesting. A person, and a straight line, both about 15in long. It cut the person but as it was going back to the top to cut the line it hit the red stop button on the side. The display said 'waiting'. I've had this happen before and all I did was turn it off, move the head back a little and turn it back on. But when I did it this time the screen was blank when I turned it back on and none of the buttons work. I tried sending another file to see if that would help, nothing. I left it unplugged over nite to see if that would reset it, nothing. Any help you guys can give would be great! I have 2 jobs due this week that I gotta get out and this is my only plotter :(

This is on support

My screen is blank/has a line of black boxes across it.

Normally on a Creation machine the screen going blank or displaying black boxes means that one of the kill switches is being depressed. The kill switches are located on each inner wall, if either of these are pressed down the machine will cease all activity until the button isn't being pressed anymore. These kill switches are there to protect the motor that moves the carriage. In order to fix the problem turn the machine off, move the carriage off of the kill switch gently, then turn the machine back on. If the screen is still blank then tap each kill switch to see if they are stuck down. If this does not fix your problem you should get a hold of our tech support team.

Thanks!! I have already tried all that so I may have to contact support then... This is a 'new to me' machine that I've only had for like a month. So I haven't really even 'broken it in' even thought it's probably as old as me.... Hopefully it's still good :)
