mr300s 1,272 Posted April 24, 2015 I always donate a lot of mugs and dog tags when I work the Wounded Warrior Booth. I just worked a Fishing Tournament in Steinhatchee, Fl. They were a big hit as always. I needed to try and get the price down on them espically the chains when can cost as much as $.75 each. So I just bought three hundred chains shipped to my door for like $72.00 and just ordered a 150 two sided dog tags for $36.00 to my door. You definitely need to shop around when donating products, its a huge help... Our booth raised $600.00 and the function itself raised over $10,000.00 that goes right to the wounded Vets, not to some six figure salary of the CEO... These are pretty cool tags one side is white the other side silver. I will be working the Alligator Hunt this year which should be fun. This year we will be hosting 58 events in the States and in three countries one which will be a African Safari at Zero Cost to the Wounded Vet

dirtrocker 60 Posted April 26, 2015 Sure not a problem Here is the Chains http://ballchain.com/ And the Dog Tags http://www.ebay.com/...=item20f9d5873f I was just looking at those dog tags this morning. I was thinking that it would be hard to beat that cost, but the cynic in me was wondering how they'd work. You answered that question for me. THANKS! Looks like I'm ordering more stuff. HA HA! You answered that question for me. THANKS! Looks like I'm ordering more stuff. HA HA! Yeah, They are definitely not the quality of the real good ones and of course I knew that before I even ordered them because of their price . But after a test I was surprised that they came out as good as they did. As far as using them as give always they will work great. If you are going to sell them pretty cheap I would say that will work also. I just thought it gave a cool effect being able to sublimate on the silver side also... The chains, I could not tell any difference between them and the $.75 each chains that the other big suppliers sell us...

MadHatterGraphix 1,258 Posted April 27, 2015 The dog tags are probably seconds and the person selling them works for them.
BCOJdecals 39 Posted April 30, 2015 Nice work, as always...however, and I mean no disrespect...when I was active duty and involved in donating to charity through the Combined Federal Campaign, I began reading several negative reports about WWP (my charity of choice at the time). I did a little research and determined that they didn't deserve my hard-earned money. Here's a fairly recent article about them... http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/09/26/wounded-warriors-project-under-fire.html
fustratedinhawaii 71 Posted April 30, 2015 BCO, Thanks for that article !!! Now...is there another article from a 3rd party that shows what their 20 regular programs DO OFFER? AND...how may people actively participate in it?? I'm personally zeroing on the handicap vans that help the Wounded Warriors get to their VA appointments... or maybe I should focus on Fisher House more.... mr300s 1,272 Posted May 1, 2015 Yes Jay they are very different ... Enough said, bottom line is its still about our Nations Hero's. I feel if you bleed for our country you are a hero regardless of what organization you belong to or what branch you served in ... I think one of the big difference is the project also recognizes Police and Fire from 911 also along with Veterans. Ours you have to have been awarded a purple Heart in combat Here is mine http://www.woundedwarriorsinaction.org/
jaybyrd 3,770 Posted May 1, 2015 Very well said. All deserve our respect for serving to to protect the rest of us.
fustratedinhawaii 71 Posted May 1, 2015 My dad's friend just passed away last year. Purple Heart recipient from WWII. Wish I had this equipment 2 years ago Glad to hear there is a difference between these 2 organizations....
