Moody Blue 505 Posted April 21, 2015 You are better off trying to find a pre-vectored version of that car model as opposed to using the picture. I did a quick "live-trace" in illustrator and yeah...lets just leave it at that. If using this picture will need to go into photoshop and remove the background, windows, headlamps, parts of the wheels, chrome trim/bumper...basically leaving only the paint and tires and then you can make it work. Honestly though I would just completely redraw it in illustrator if you can't find what you are looking for.
Moody Blue 505 Posted April 21, 2015 The picture looks be a late 60s or early 70s model but here is a good start from a 1980... http://carblueprints.info/eng/prints/ford/ford-e-escort-mkii-estate-huntsman-1980
skarekrow 1,842 Posted April 21, 2015 That picture will work, with the proper techniques. Here's a low-res proof of 12 minutes in Photoshop with it.

jaybyrd 3,770 Posted April 21, 2015 Yup this just means I'm not the only one who love the old Pintos
skarekrow 1,842 Posted April 21, 2015 Though I appreciate the Pintos, I've always been a GM kinda guy. Back then (now too, really) I thought the Vega wagon was awesome.
knucklehead 530 Posted April 28, 2015 I had a Vega wagon, 383 SB, narrowed rear, tunnel ram x 2 650's, for a couple days. That was a real chick magnet/death trap.
jaybyrd 3,770 Posted April 28, 2015 79 Pinto wagon, 400 modified maverick rear with 3.55 gears and a c6. Death trap yes but what I'd give to have it back.

There's a guy that runs a Pacer with a similar set up at Greer Dragway. Talk about a death trap lol...
jaybyrd 3,770 Posted April 28, 2015 Pinto sounds sane compared to a Pacer.
