Hi Everyone,  Yes I am new and really excited to use my cutter.  I just can't seem to get it to work correctly.  It just cuts a little line instead of the letters.. I thought it might be a driver error because I have windows8.  I followed the instructions to fix that.  I really am stumped.

Sounds kind of like the letters are not converted to outlines. What cutter program are you using? Some automatically convert them other do not. You might post the file and we can take a look and do some detective work for ya.

I am using SCAL3. I have used a combination of Monogram kk and littlelordfontleroy for fonts.  I was able to attach a png file.

Hmmm. I thought SCALP was one that already converted the text. Try cutting a circle or a square or something simple like that. IF you have the pen attachment now would be a good time to use it with some paper so you don't waste a bunch of vinyl.

hmmmm I picked a heart from Scal  and put the pen attachment in and it drew a small vertical line.

You sure you have the correct driver set? Sounds like you are getting connection but not the right info to the cutter. I'm not a guru in this regard but someone will come along who is better.

Make sure that SCALP is activated
