program blurry

Recommended Posts

New laptop, downloaded full version of SCAL 4. registered, activated. program works.

The entire program is blurry, as if I am looking at a program made 15 years ago, in bad res,

Now if I go to HELP, search for updates.....

then it will all reload perfectly, BUT very very tiny icons, text and tools, and the menu bar is sliced in half horizontally. Does that even make sense??

Any ideas on what the heck is going on, and how I make this better? Program worked just fine on my old laptop.

HELP!

Super annoyed!

You know I got a new work laptop and the screen resolution is very high- 1920 x 1080.  What I found is some legacy programs, including PDF's are blurry. Try moving down your resolution- that may do the trick, but mess up your ratio.

Sorry - that's my experience with blurry programs on new computers. I havent found a way to fix my issue

Another option- if you have the funds you can buy a stand alone HD monitor - this will look really good for your program- big layout space.

But I know the frustrating feeling.

Try right clicking the icon and either running as administrator or running it with one of the compatibility options?

I don't have this program.  But I get this from other programs.  One fix that works often is to make a shortcut to the program on the desktop on in a folder.  Right click on the shortcut and go to the compatibility tab.  There Check the box labeled. "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings."

I would bet a buck it improves things.
