631 and transfer tape.

The same tape, that won't work on 631, works fine on matte finish 651-751. What's that deal all about?

I actually called and talked to a rep about the HT-55 to be sure I could use it for other vinyls before I bought a whole roll of 24". The difference in the HT-55 is that it is actually a medium tack with an extra amount of adhesive to better reach down into the matte finish. I think some of the trouble with 631 is its amount of adhesion to the carrier but that is part of what helps it be a little better for cutting IMO. It just takes a little more hold to lift it off but not too much to then be a pain to remove the transfer paper after. I don't do much indoor so I was not wanting 3/4 of a roll of app tape sitting around later. The HT-55 is so-so for regular use. I had issues here and there with it having trouble lifting 651 up off the carrier but I have used up 80% of the roll now so I'll save the rest for more 631 work.
