livinloudgraphics 39 Posted February 10, 2015 looking more into flexi software and saw it has the job estimation does anyone use this and if so can it be accurate.. If not then what do you use?
Wildgoose 4,200 Posted February 10, 2015 I don't use flexi but in Illustrator I just draw it up to scale and make sure the ruler is turned on and you can get a pretty good indication right there on single cut jobs. If I am going to produce multiple cuts of small graphics etc. then I load it into my cutting software (Signcut Pro) and use the preview and it will give me a running total in inches to do the whole set after they are all nested. I assume Flexi will do similar or at least some levels of the program offer nesting. You will be having to input your costs to each product no matter what you do so you will just be getting a linear amount of vinyl. Always a good idea to account for screw-ups and the lost inches here and there if you are messing around.
