Graphtec CE6000-60 Firmware

Recommended Posts

Good news!!
I asked graphtec america for the firmware 1.70. Since this firmware is not on their website.
So I got it emailed to me.
Flashed the firmware without any problems. And did a reset of the machine.

Loaded some work into graphtec studio and started cutting. Work without any errors.

Did some testing and more testing. NO ERRORS AT ALL!!

YEAH!! Finally I got it working again :D
Hope it will work all time.

Does your graphtec machine work?? Do nothing  AND DONT DO ANY FIRMWARE UPGRADING!!!!

Thanks

The CE-6000 is usually pretty straight forward on a Mac as well as a PC, although most plotters we've found to just work better on PC across the board. When was the last time you ran an update for your OS out of curiosity? From the sound of it though it does seem like it could potentially be a Mobo issue, especially if you've rolled the firmware back and it has been doing this across multiple computers. I'll pick our Tier 3 tech's brain on this one and see if there's anything else we can think to check.

I use mac, and there have been no problem using mac.
I have also tried on a pc, same problem there.

I can make a new file, enter a text (20x30cm) and when I cut, it make random cut lines..

Post some of those files up...   Show some photos of your problem..

What software are you designing and cutting with?

I thought maybe you had actual pictures of vinyl, where it is random cut.

Have you tried the cutter on HP-GL language?    You can use the Signcut.com trial for 1 week.   Free trial at top of page.  It is for Mac.

Well,  same problem there. do random cut lines in signcut

I guess I need a new mainboard.
emailed graphtec and I am so lucky that graphtec will only send out to U.S. Addresses. :( and I live in Norway.

Anyone knows what a new motherboard for the CE6000-60 cost?
If anyone can check, I would be gratefull :)  PN U792600750

Thanks

Just an update!

Have not got new mainboard. But I have kinda solve the problem for now.

I design in AI of Graphtec studio, and power on the cutter. Then I press "Send to cutter"

It do cut without any problem. When fnished cutting, I power it down.

And starts all over again for each cutting.

But IF it has power on all time, it starts to do random cutting :(

For now, I am happy...

Have not tried that formware. Just v2.10 and same problem, so I downgraded back to v1.7.

And Graphtec will not help me.
