Import problems

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I've been having this problem on and off for a while. I open a jpeg or png file in Inkscape, I do a bitmap trace and save it  as an eps file. I am saving the right file as the origional is two color and the trace is black. When I try to import the file into SBE, nothing shows up on the screen. It will show up in my eps viewer program fine .I have tried this on two computers and still nothing. I can't figure out what is wrong. Attached are the jpg and png files. Thanks

Arty I just did it in inkscape and it traced fine and saved it as a eps file and brought it into Sign Blazer and opened it up , needs tons of work but it imported it no problem.  I would delete ad reinstall inkscape and if that doesn't work same thing with Sign Blazer

I did a Malware scan, CCcleaner, and a MS Security Essentials Scans. Go figure? Tried Inscape again and it did import into SBE. Cleaned it up and added new text, then used the Distort feature. Should be OK now. Picture looks rough but it's a jpeg of the SBE file. It does cut straight and smooth.

I had that problem several times with signblazer. I read somewhere( and this works for me). Separate the trace and original in inkskape.

1. Select trace image in inkscape.

2. Contrl C

3. Go to sigblazer

4. Contrl V

It simply pasted the images. Now it may look white for a second in SB, but once you move the whole image you should be able to see it.
