blakesgst 1 Posted December 12, 2014 Hey guys, been quite some time since I used my cutter but I am making some paint masks and have run into an issue. I am making a custom shape with the poly tool, with sharp edges like spikes, and when i outline it, the outline isn't sharp around the tips, it squares off if that makes any sense. Any idea how i can get the outline to go around my image exactly? Thanks, Blake
Jay2703 704 Posted December 12, 2014 If the shape is not extremely critical, you could Noe Edit to make them pointed. Add a corner node and stretch it out to a point.
Jay2703 704 Posted December 12, 2014 It looks like the angle has something to do with it. When the angle gets too small, it goes to a square end instead of a point. Can you change the angle to make it bigger?
darcshadow 1,625 Posted December 12, 2014 When I've run into this problem I switch over to Inkscape and rather than do an expand I add a stroke to the object, size it to what I want, then convert it to a path. A little bit of a round about way but it works.

Thanks Jay, i didn't realize i could node edit the outline nodes. I haven't touched SB, inkscape or Corel in about 2 years and its driving me nuts trying to remember/figure out how i used to manipulate things lol Blake
