lablover 218 Posted December 11, 2014 From someone that had a Titan 3 and now A Graphtec I can give my 2 cents and not even sure my opinion is worth that right now being so new. I ordered the Titan 3 and was thrilled with it. First cutter ever and I fell in love. I thought the ARMS was very cool. Then the power switch or power supply started to act up so I called USCUTTER and we did some trouble shooting over the phone. They decided that I needed to send it back and they would send me a new one. I came into a few bucks and asked them if I could just pay the difference and get the Graphtec CE 6000. They said no problem. When I got the Graphtec is when I noticed the big difference. The stand..The Machine everything was "different" Like the difference dakota mentions in cars. The stand took minutes to put together and was like Custom Made. Light, Clean and sleek. After using the Graphtec It was night and day. The Titan is a good machine but I don't think it's in the same league as the Graphtec. It's a feel and Fit and Finish thing. Hard to explain. If you had both it's almost a no brainer. I hate to say it that way but it is. I know some people don't use the polling feature but I love it! no guessing, nothing. The Media Sensors are top notch. I know some disable it but I have not had to yet. So, having had both. I would choose the Graphtec every time! Good thing is either choice and you will be happy!
dansell 12 Posted December 20, 2014 Okay... some more questions for you all. When I purchase this machine (graphtec), I want to make sure that I have the appropriate software too. (1) What is your favorite program? I have MTC , Adobe Illustrator, and SCAL 3 PRO and just updated that to V4 PRO. I'm running a trial of VinylMaster. I am considering Corel. I'm not sure if Scal works with the graphtec or not, but I'm pretty sure MTC does not. So I will be spending some time exporting my files. (2) Is one of the files extensions better than another for exporting and cutting? SVG or EPS or AI. Thanks again for your assistance.
MZ SKEETER 4,708 Posted December 20, 2014 The Graphtecs come with Cutting Master 2 and 3 as well as Graphtec Studio, You can download them now and try out....from Graphtec site. Many still use the FREE Signblazer with the Copam driver. You state you have AI, there is a plugin that goes right to Cutting Master.. Personally, I use Flexistarter with my Graphtec and have since 2008, It came with my value cutter.
lablover 218 Posted December 20, 2014 Dansell I use illustrator and the supplied Cutmaster 3 thats comes with the Machine The cut master plugin for illustrator is the cats a$$. I have not run across anything yet that it can't handle. You will find the polling feature pretty slick. I've tried other software but find myself going back to the Illustrator and Cutmaster. Vinylmaster is pretty slick too. Again, I have most of them and go back to my goto stuff every time. I guess it's what you become accustomed to. Enjoy the Graphtec! It's a sweetheart Joe
jarrotto 78 Posted December 20, 2014 I use Cuting Master 3 plug in with Adobe Illustrator CS6 on a daily basis and it works great. That is cutting with a Graphtec CE6000. We have also used the plugin with Illustrator CC. It works exactly the same with both programs.
