EPS will not import into SB

Recommended Posts

I have a EPS file that my Graphics guy sent me of a logo he designed, when I go to import it into SB I get the progress bar across the screen but nothing loads.  I've tried using both full postscript interpreter and postscript scanner (whatever those are) same results with each.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Have your graphics guy save it as an older version 8  eps file  The file may be too new for SB..

OK, he's gone now untill next week, bummer.  I was wanting to get this cuttable. Any other free program that you know of that will allow me to save it in an older version?

If you want send me the file in a PM,,  I will try, as long as it is not too new for my software.  I have Flexidesigner,10 and it has worked, for others using SB.

Thing is, you're gonna have to get it to open first, in another program, before you can save it as another version...

I got it to open in SignCut, but i'm not familiar at all with that program.

As you know Signcut will only save it in it's own. proprietary format, '.sc'.

I can convert it for you as well.

What works for me (most of the time) is I use the website online-convert.com to convert the .eps to an .svg file. Then open Inkscape and open the .svg and then save as an eps. Then I am able to import the .eps in Signblazer.

If you can get it open in SignCut, you might try doing a select all, copy, and paste into SB. Don't know if it'll work with SignCut but it has worked for me going from Inkscape to SB.
