Cutting card stock or thin mylar

I have another question:

I'm wanting to cut some airbrush templates that are a little stiffer and/or reusable. If I cut some old manila file folders or some mylar file folders

 

A: Will that work without damaging my sc cutter? Do I have to put anything under them? I'm assuming it won't cut all the way through so I will have to xacto the design completly out of the exsisting piece? Some basic question to some I'm sure.

 

I'm still just wondering if it's easier just to use Paint Mask

Go to Walmart and get a carrier sheet for the cricut then you can cut all the way thru.
