Help! My Graphtec CE6000 Cuts are nice except for one thing...

Recommended Posts

Hi and thanks for looking!

For some reason the triangles in the square look perfect for the machine's built in test... except there is some squiggle being cut where the design starts.

Any idea why this might be?

Dirty blade, blade depth / pressure? Do you have another blade to try? Also check blade holder in the carriage be sure its tight. On a CE6000 i doubt its the actual carriage or internal parts.

Seems the answer was an inappropriate blade depth. How does that make sense? Can you please explain how a perfectly straight blade could do such a thing?

In your mind exaggerate the scenario with like 6ft of blade sticking out trying to cut a nice straight line. The blade swivels inside the holder and steers like the caster on a shopping cart. Can you begin to see why too much could be a problem. It seems like it shouldn't matter but it does. Not to mention the likelihood of cutting through your carrier sheet into your cutting strip which can beak a tip, run the strip, make a mess of your vinyl, etc, etc, etc.
